Hundreds Reportedly Injured In Chemical Explosion At German University

According to the German newswire service DPA, a chemical explosion at Technical University of Dresden has injured dozens, possibly sending as many as 100 people to the hospital.

Details are still scant, but apparently school officials have confirmed the accident, and it’s believed that the explosion was linked to the toxic chemical compound arsine. The incident has proved to be non-fatal so far, but some reactions have reportedly been severe and victims are being taken to the hospital for further care. [Michael Poppel, Monsters and Critics]
