Samsung Apple Tablet Decision Delayed Yet Again

Good for the lawyers’ billing, not so good for certainty: a final decision in the Apple-Samsung dispute over the Galaxy Tab 10.1 is now a week away, after Apple’s high court appeal resulted in a special leave hearing being scheduled for next Friday (December 9).

Samsung had indicated it would import Galaxy Tab devices to begin selling next week if Apple’s appeal had failed, so there’s still a chance the device might go on sale before Christmas. But who knows where this insanity will end really? More as we hear it. [Twitter]

Statement from Samsung Electronics Australia
The High Court of Australia has granted a stay until December 9 to allow it to consider whether to accept Apple’s application for special leave to appeal.

Samsung believes Apple has no basis for its application for leave to appeal and will vigorously oppose this to the High Court.
