Puppets Show Their Dramatic Side In The Narrative Of Victor Karloch Trailer

I’m a big fan of the Muppets, but I’m equally impressed by the dramatic and creepy performances of the puppets used in this first trailer for The Narrative of Victor Karloch, produced by Heather Henson and The Jim Henson Foundation.

Most of the effects, including the tumultuous rolling sea, were filmed in-camera, while the 76cm tall puppets were controlled via poles and cables. Unlike Team America: World Police and the Thunderbirds TV series, the puppet’s faces don’t appear to be animated, which serves to make the characters even creepier, fitting for the re-telling of a Victorian-era ghost story.
