JB Hi-Fi Now Music Subscription Service Officially Launches In Beta

JB HiFi dropped a few teasers about it last week, but today the retailer’s music streaming service has officially gone live, albeit in beta format.

The service is offering a one month free trial to prospective customers, which conveniently doesn’t require a credit card to sign up for. Instead, you simply enter a valid mobile phone number and JB will text you a temporary password to use while you test out the service.

In terms of charges, Now will cost $25 for a three month subscription, $50 for six months or $80 for a full year (which equates to the $6.67 a month we saw last week).

Until the mobile apps launch next year, it’s a browser-based computer affair only, which might dissuade some people. But it’s definitely worth signing up for the free trial to check out. Once you’ve done that, come back here and tell us your thoughts.
