BBC iPlayer App Coming To iPhone

The Aussie launch of the BBC iPlayer iPad app made many Gizmodo staffers exceptionally happy people earlier this year. Now they can relive their excitement with the imminent launch of the iPlayer iPhone app tomorrow.

The app will offer the same BBC content to view on the iPhone or iPod Touch’s smaller screen over Wi-Fi or 3G, with the ability to download episodes to your device to watch at a later time. It will be a free download, with access to the complete library costing the same $9.49 a month or $90 a year.

The BBC is also offering a heap of extra free Christmas content over this month in the leadup to Christmas, making the app a must own for all iDevices. If you don’t already own it, go and download it right now.
