Motorola Droid RAZR Is Already Rooted

The new RAZR’s out in the US and it’s already been hacked to bits by the teardown junkies. Now it’s been rooted, too.

The crew over at the Droid Forums has a working root that’ll get you up and running on Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread, which is awesome. But it comes with some caveats: There’s no recovery tool, so if you screw up, you’re borked until restore files become available. Also, it’s only for Windows, though that’s probably not too much of a problem for most Android enthusiasts.

The full instructions, along with downloads, are available at Droid Forums.
