Gizmodo Awards 2011: Overall Gadget Of The Year Nominations Now Open

The end of the year is nigh, and that means it’s time to sort out what the best products of the year have been. All week long we’ve been giving you the categories, but this is the big one. What was the single best gadget of the year?

2011 has seen plenty of great gadgets, but which one was the greatest? Which single gadget, more than any other, was the king of the hill, the tip of the top, the cream on the cake and the fairy on the top of the Christmas tree? There’s only one way to make your choice for best gadget known, and that’s by getting noisy in the comments below.

You’re welcome to nominate any gadget here. We’ve already opened up nominations for the best laptop, best mobile, best television, best ADSL/Cable ISP, best camera, best mobile broadband, best iPad alternative and best mobile app as well — you’re free to nominate as many times as you like.

We’re just looking for nominations right now, but don’t forget to check back next Friday when voting commences!
