What Mysterious New Sensor Will Fuji’s X-Series Cameras Use?

The Fuji Guys mentioned today that Fuji’s upcoming line of X-series interchangeable lens, mirror-less cameras based on the popular X-100 will not use a micro four thirds sensor but rather a “premium” (read: larger) one that delivers better resolution and less noise than a 35mm full frame sensor.

Other details are still scarce and it looks like we’ll have to wait until Fuji officially unveils the cameras at CES 2012 in January for more. [Fuji Guys via Petapixel]
