If you were thinking about buying Hulu, we’ve got some bad news for you. You’re a day too late with your bid.
In a brief statement, Hulu’s management announced the video streaming service is no longer for sale. Here’s what they said,
“Since Hulu holds a unique and compelling strategic value to each of its owners, we have terminated the sale process and look forward to working together to continue mapping out its path to even greater success. Our focus now rests solely on ensuring that our efforts as owners contribute in a meaningful way to the exciting future that lies ahead for Hulu.”
That’s a formal way of saying we couldn’t find a high enough bidder so we’re going to take our lucrative licensing deals and do it without y’all. [Hulu]
