So much news passes before our collective eyes every day that we couldn’t possibly cover it all. Mostly because much of it isn’t worth covering! But here are a some borderline tidbits we passed on, just in case.
Scientifically Speaking
What scientists say and what the frothing-mouthed goons of the world hear are often two very different things. So maybe we can all better understand each other with… spreadsheets? Oh, scientists. A Camera That Measures Your Golf Swing… In Japan
Japan’s not only home to the kind of wonderful vending machines and creatively named professional baseball teams that we’ll never see; they’ve also got some pretty handy gadgets that’ll never cross the pond. Getting to Know What Google Good to Know Knows You Know Now
Curious about just how much information Google has on you, specifically? Too bad! Because the company’s new Good to Know website, while helpful in terms of outlining what’s private and what’s marketing fodder in general terms, doesn’t let you peek into the exact details of what the company’s culled from your personal emails and search history. Not that you’d expect them to; that would be a huge waste of time and resources, if it were even possible in the first place! So: it’s as good as it probably can be, but it’s mostly common sense, dig? [Google] [imgclear]
