N.O.V.A 2 HD is a stunning looking clone of a game that I just can't put my finger on. Something to do with masters, chiefs and alien invasions. Could it be Cooking Mama? No, of course not. It's a HALO clone, and while that means that it is shamelessly derivative, it's also a lot of fun. Or in other words, if you're going to steal, steal from the best. There's little doubt that Gameloft's primary mobile business model involves tweaking the ideas behind successful franchises. FPS games don't often transfer all that well to touchscreens, but Gameloft's done a good job of keeping the pace frantic while not leaving you stuck in spot while the *cough* not-in-any-way-the-covenant *cough* blast you.
