Telstra Releases HTC EVO 3D Pricing And Details

We’ve known for a while now that Telstra’s one of the carriers that’ll be offering HTC’s take on 3D-enabled Android smartphones. The carrier’s just told us when it’ll be releasing the phone, as well as what goodies you’ll get with it.

Available from next Tuesday, the HTC EVO 3D will sell through Telstra for $912 outright, or on a variety of contract plans. Although as if to prove the comment about phone company plans being deliberately confusing, Telstra’s site for the EVO 3D lists two total purchase prices on a $59 cap; it’s either $1968 or $2328 at full contract price. Or perhaps both.
Telstra’s also providing three 3D capable games — Need For Speed Shift and The SIMs 3 will be preinstalled, and customers will be entitled to download a Spiderman game as well. The first 3,500 HTC EVO 3Ds that Telstra sells will also come with The Green Hornet movie pre-installed, which at least answers the question as to what I’d delete first from the phone’s preinstalled crapware.

Update: For those who are particularly keen, HTC’s PR has just informed us that HTC will have hands-on demo units — rather painfully titled “experiential zones” at Westfield centres through to the end of the month. Specifically, you’ll find an HTC EVO 3D stand at the following Westfield Centres:

New South Wales
· Westfield Sydney: Monday, 12 September through to Sunday, 18 September
· Westfield Bondi Junction: Monday, 19 September through to Friday, 23 September

Victoria
· Westfield Doncaster: Monday, 12 September through to Sunday, 18 September

Queensland
· Westfield Chermside: Friday, 23 September through to Wednesday, 28 September
