Google Could Make App Inventor Open Source

Google hinted its educational tool, App Inventor for Android, may become an open source project for the educational community.

App Inventor was part of Google Labs, a group of research projects recently shut down by the search giant. Some of these projects will be moved into Google’s mainstream projects, but most will be shuttered. Because of its widespread use in classrooms, App Inventor could get a second life.
