It was only a couple of weeks ago that I streamed a full length Daily Show episode from dailyshow.com. But now, we’re geo-blocked again. This sucks. Streaming was blocked to Aussies after ABC lost the rights to pay TV, but somewhere along the line we got access again. I reached out to Foxtel, and here’s what it had to say:
“Foxtel’s exclusive output deal with US channel Comedy Central means Australian premiere episodes of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart can only be seen on The Comedy Channel weeknights at 6.30pm”
Bloody exclusives. I’m not paying for Foxtel, but I might pay for a $10 iTunes multi-pass which gets you about a month worth of episodes. Reason number 192 to read: Five Best VPN Service Providers
