Internet superhero and sometimes-Gizmodo contributor Dave Pell has identified the Catch-22 of jumping from one social network to the next, to the next, to the next. We want people to follow us, but we also find it sort of creepy!

Because our social graphs aren’t really portable, we end up having to ask people to come along with us. And then we resent them when they do! (Or at least for the unwieldy size of our networks.)
