Updated MacBook Airs Could Get Speedy 400Mbps Flash Storage

It’s expected that Apple will update the MacBook Air line this July, but with what, exactly? According to components manufacturers that the Japanese website Macotakara.jp spoke to, they’ll include the latest 19-nanometer NAND chips which have been soldered right onto the motherboard, as opposed to using an mSATA connector to fuse the SSD to the motherboard.

This means that data transfers will be even speedier, at up to 400Mbps. [Macotakara via 9to5Mac via BGR] ]
