Facebook’s iPad App Is Buried In Its iPhone App

Like an iPhone 4 hidden inside an iPhone 3GS case, Facebook’s iPad app has been found in its iPhone app code. Calling it “spectacular”, TechCrunch tells that the app can also be activated now.

TechCrunch’s full preview of the app can be read over on their site now, but if you want to have a go yourself, you’ll have to “change the UIDeviceFamily to 2 for iPhone on the Facebook app,” according to @AeroEchelon, the Canadian engineering student who first noticed the hidden code.

I’d suggest waiting though – after all, you’ve already gone 18 months without an iPad app, and there are a plethora of other ways to update your FB status on your iPad as that don’t come with the risks of unvetted software. For a full tour of the app screenshots, check out TechCrunch’s gallery here. [@AeroEchelon via TechCrunch]
