Couples In A Relationship Like To Snoop On Each Other

Face the facts. People can’t resist the urge to snoop on each other. It doesn’t matter whether you’re married or dating. If you’re in a relationship, you have probably looked at your mate’s personal information without them knowing.

Online shopping and review site Retrevo surveyed 1,000 online respondents and found that one in three people have spied on their partner by reading their email or browsing their call history without them knowing.

You know how it happens. A phone gets left on a coffee table and you just can’t resist the urge to take a quick peek. Females are bit worse than males when it comes to this sneaky behaviour. 35% of dating and 41% of married women confessed to snooping on their partner, while only 30% of dating men and 32% of married men admitted to this same indiscretion.

The study has an interesting conclusion. When it comes to snooping, Retrevo says, “consumers may have just as much to fear from people they know than big corporations.” Think about that the next time you leave your smartphone unattended in your partner’s car.
