The War In Afghanistan, As Seen By A 60 Minutes Cameraman

There are plenty of war photos, but it’s not often we get close-up video of real-time combat. 60 Minutes sent correspondent Lara Logan into Afghanistan along with cameraman R.A. Bribiesca, who has been capturing footage since the Vietnam War.

Bribiesca says that finding a safe spot and staying calm is essential to his survival while shooting footage, and that he’s most interested in capturing the faces of the American soldiers, instead of the view of what they’re shooting at.
