Google The Best Place To Work In Australia

BRW magazine has just announced the results of its “best place to work” survey and – perhaps unsurprisingly – Google took out the top honours.

The magazine surveyed 207 companies and over 55,000 employees to reach the decision, with the search giant winning its way to number one by offering those things many of us dream about from an employer:

Google Australia came out on top thanks largely to its workplace innovations, such as the 10 per cent of time its employees can spend pursuing their own projects. Recognition of employees’ personal and professional worth, a sense of community and pride in being associated with the company were also important factors.

Among the top 50 companies, 20 were in the IT space, including all the top five. It just goes to show that being a geek can have its advantages…
