Canadian Man Caught Stealing A House

It’s not everyday that you read about a stolen house. Not the entire contents of a house, but the actual house itself.

Such is the plight of a man from Brampton, Ontario, Canada, who was shocked to find his 14m long double-wide mobile home was stolen from his rural property. While he was away, someone hooked up the double-wide to the back of a truck and drove off with it.

The culprit did not make it too far as the $US30,000 mobile home was found a few days later in the next town over, a mere 10km from the local police station. The thief produced documents proving the home was his, but, big surprise, they were forged. [National Post via Boing Boing; Photo by David McNew/Getty Images]
