One reason Apple could mention iCloud today, a week ahead of WWDC: They’ve locked in all four major labels for their iTunes streaming service, reports the WSJ. Three of the four have already signed, and Universal’s probably going to this week.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the deals cover a “‘scan and match’ locker service”, sorta like the old Lala – there’s no mention of an iTunes subscription streaming service like Rdio or MOG. Sadface. On the other hand, you don’t have to upload your entire library, song by song, like you do for Amazon and Google.
