Internode Launches Huawei Mobile Hotspot For Cheaps

Internode were fairly early on the whole Wi-Fi pocket modem train last year, but the MiFi device was pricey at $349 outright. They’ve just slashed the price by releasing the new Huawei version, for just $149 outright or $49 on a 24 month contract.

The device will only work on the 900MHz and 2100MHz spectrums, so you can’t really buy it outright and use it on NextG. But at 100 grams and featuring a MicroSD card slot for storage, it’s an alternative if you’re not running a smartphone that creates its own wireless hotspot.
