Every Home Should Have A Mechanical Sculpture Artwork


Is there a more mesmerising sight than a sculpture comprised of 24 wooden gears rotating inside a frame that breaks apart and then reassembles itself? Aside from Hypnotoad? I think not.

Created by Aussie designer Brett Dickins, the sculpture, entitled “WTF?” has 24 wooden gears covered by perspex and powered by an electric motor that dismantles and then reassembles the frame. It’s also gorgeous. And – unfortunately – sold.

Still, it’s amazing to watch. So long as you turn the volume down on the music…
