If you own a BlackBerry Bold 9700, a BlackBerry Curve 3G or a BlackBerry Pearl 3G and are a Vodafone customer, you might want to plug your phone into your PC and get updating, with RIM announcing that Vodafone BlackBerry customers can now update their smartphones to the BlackBerry 6 operating system.
The update, which brings a completely overhauled UI, a wireless music sync function, and social networking integration, is a fairly major one for the smartphone maker, and a huge step forward for an operating system that is traditionally seen as languishing behind the likes of iOS and Android.
