Chip Yates! The name oozes “adrenaline freak”, doesn’t it? Or maybe “a capella group alumni chairman”. Regardless, the SWIGZ team’s driver recently pushed a 241HP electric bike to 306km/h from a standing start in under 30 seconds – and strapped a camera to his helmet to prove it.
It’s an unofficial record for an electric motorcycle, and while I wish the video gave us a bit more of a view, well, I guess I’ll forgive Yates for not rubbernecking at those speeds. [Engadget]
