Gazelle Gets Into The Reselling Business

Gazelle Gets Into The Reselling Business

I’ve used e-waste recycling service Gazelle a few times now, so I’m comfortable recommended other recyclers use it as well, but today’s news isn’t about recycling – it’s about reselling.

Reselling iPads, actually, because the recent surge of iPads delivered to Gazelle by former owners (and one would assume current iPad 2 owners) resulted in a stock of roughly 90 per cent mint condition Apple tablets.

Gazelle, wise lads and lasses that they are, took one look at this inventory and decided that reselling them back to other customers would probably be a bit more profitable than stripping them all down for scrap and selling them that way.

Estimating pricing is in the neighbourhood of $US300 to $US500, depending on the model, and there might even be warranties, pending a partnership with SquareTrade. [TUAW]
