At one cubic millimetre in size, this endoscopy camera has got to be more palatable than the usual cameras used to peer into the human body.

Developed in Germany, the prototype camera could go on sale as early as next year, but first researchers must ensure it can be affordable enough to be marketed as a disposable camera. They’ve thrown the rule book out of the window by the sounds of it, fusing the sensor and lens using a different method than normal.
