SUNA traffic updates are fairly common in portable GPS navigation devices, but not as common with the built-in head units. That’s changed a bit today, with Clarion announcing it will be sporting the Intellematics traffic channel in its new range of devices launching in April.
The service will be included with the cost of the unit itself, so there are no ongoing charges to receive the traffic information. The first unit to offer the traffic service from clarion will be the NX501A, which boasts a 6.2-inch screen, iPhone connectivity, Parrot Bluetooth connectivity for handsfree and the latest Navteq mapping. It’ll RRP for $1999.
