Create Letterpress Prints Using An Entirely Digital Method

Before you go scrambling to download this $US6 LetterMPress iPad app, I must warn you: it’s not yet available. The developer is seeking money on Kickstarter to build a letterpress studio, so users’ creations can be printed out and sent their way.

It’s already received over $US10,000 of the $US15,000 goal, but they still need to buy in actual letterpress type, then scan in and build the app. It’s an app I’d love to see made, if only because I’ve always wanted a letterpress printer (and the room to store one), but I’d settle on creating my visual typedreams digitally.

Supposedly once the app is released, users will be able to email their designs, print the, or send them off to the LetterMPress studio to be printed on their choice of paper stock, and then sent on over. [Kickstarter via TechCrunch]
