Your Netbook Will Be Much Happier As An Arcade Machine

No need to keep that netbook tucked away in the corner or under the bed. This may be my favourite thing to do with an old laptop yet: turn it into an arcade machine. Hello, Nanocade. You look wonderful.

Now, it’s not the easiest DIY in the world – check out the seven-page instruction manual is here – and at $US350 the kit is likely at least as expensive as the netbook itself. But my goodness does the final product seem worth it. And think of all the fun you and your little MAME cabinet will have playing arcade classics! Beats not being able to stream YouTube videos, that’s for sure. Should begin shipping at the end of February, which means I’d probably be able to piece it together by the end of the year.
