The Daily Now Available In Australia

We weren’t sure how long it would take for Rupert Murdoch’s newspaper-saving iPad app The Daily to hit international iTunes Stores. Turns out it wasn’t too long at all, with the app hitting Australian iTunes over the weekend.

The app is still a free download (for now) but hasn’t been customised for Australians in any way – the welcome screen still says that the two week trial period is brought to you by Verizon, for instance.

Subscription fees are the standard US to AU iTunes conversions: a weekly subscription costs $1.19 and a yearly subscription will set you back $47.99.
