The Volkswagen Darth Vader commercial was one of the Super Bowl’s best and a lot of it had to do with the adorable kid dressed up as the Sith Lord. The cute kid behind it, Max Page, is now a healthy six-year-old but at four months old he was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot, a congenital heart defect found in children.

In order to live, Max had to start wearing a pacemaker (which he still does) and is now expected to live a long, full life. Thank God for medicine. Maybe he can get around to watching Star Wars in his free time. [We Are Children’s]
