Hack Your Kinect With Microsoft’s Permission

Microsoft say they are now actively courting developers to hack the Kinect. To make this happen, they’re giving non-commercial users inside access to the technology.

That’s pretty good, considering most of the big name console makers (who shall remain nameless) make it really hard for small-time hackers to do their special thing with the hardware. There’s already a slew of YouTube videos showing what the hacking community can do with the Kinect. With this formal invitation in place, the Kinect is bound to come up with some cool innovations.
