The thought of going someplace even colder than where I am now sounds awful, until I see the new wing of this airport in Mestia, Georgia. The frigid terrain doesn’t look too inviting, but the terminal’s space station design sure does.
The new structure was built with the hopes of bringing tourists to Mestia – which might be a challenge when it looks like flying into Hoth, but once things thaw out, I’m sure the futuristic structure will be pretty striking surrounded by the town’s centuries-old medieval fortifications. At any rate, it can’t be much worse than JFK. [DesignBoom]
