280,000 NASA-reviewed lines of code later, the Transportation Department has officially decreed Toyota’s problems – you know, the ones that caused terrifying accidental acceleration – to be mechanical in nature.
With software cleared of all charges and numerous recalls addressing the mechanical issues, it looks as though it’s safe to drive a Toyota again. Although I’d still rather take Woz’s word for it. [NY Times]
