At Last, You Can Send The Yellow Pages To Hell

At bloody last, now you can opt-out of delivery of those useless volumes of bound dead trees and CO2 known as the Yellow Pages. I would rather kill them all, but this is a step in the right direction.

The Yellow Pages Association in the US has decided it’s time stop pissing off most people with their stupid publication. They have opened a new site called National Yellow Pages Consumer Choice & Opt-Out Site, which contains some useless sections as “Download Our Sustainability Report” (should be called We are a total waste), “How to Recycle your Yellow Pages Directory” (just don’t make us recycle this crap), and “The Yellow Pages Directory Facts” (fact: nobody cares).

Actually, the only section you should care about is the opt-out one, which is the only thing that makes sense in an age where you can use the internet – even to use the Yellow Pages themselves. So go it, enter your zip code and fill out the registration form. I know, even opting-out of the Yellow Pages is annoying, but it’s better than actually receiving them. To avoid any potential spam, I recommend you to create a mail account just for registration – say, fuckyouyellowpages12345@gmail.com.

Don’t forget to pass this around. If a few million people opt-out, perhaps that will send a definitive message that we don’t care about this obsolete book that not even the hipsters want in their homes. [Yellow Pages Opt-Out]
