Verizon and Sprint customers are going to get Windows Phone 7s of their very own this year, not long after a WP7 software update that (finally!) brings copy and paste, and faster app loads (holy yes, thank you).

The software updates are expected in the coming months, according to Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer, and will also make app switching more effective (read: less damn slow). You’ll have to wait a bit longer for the CDMA Windows Phone 7 devices, but they’ll come in the first half of 2011.
