Picplz Backs Up Your Pre-Filter Photos To Dropbox

Filters are sometimes—sometimes—a good idea for certain photos. Nifty filtering and social posting service Picplz offers a convenient Dropbox auto-backup option, so you can retrieve your originals when Russian Toy Camera goes out of style.

You hook up your Dropbox account from Picplz’s web settings, so when you use Picplz on either iPhone or Android, your selected photos, both original and filtered, will be automatically backed up to a picplz folder on Dropbox. It’s a handy way of hedging your bets between “Oh, nifty, it looks all ’70’s!” and actual photography.
