Originally meant for internal company use only and made with a transparent shell so Apple designers could see component placement inside a finished product, this super rare Mac SE could have been yours for a startling $US25,000.
The bidding's all done over at eBay, where the seller stated that the unit is in fine working order, so long as you boot it up from the 800k floppy drive. No one bit though, and the $US25,000 starting price could elicit one bid.
Still, price issue aside, this is a remarkable collector's piece (only 10 such computers are known to exist), provided the collector has some serious coin to spend on sorta functioning PC history. [eBay via technabob]
