In Milan, They Decorate Streets With Glow-In-The-Dark Underpants

The 2010 Milan LED light festival - yes, there's such an event - has produced some amusing art displays, but my absolute favourite is pictured right here. It's called 'Ieri, Oggi, Domani' which translates as 'Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow' and involves glow-in-the-dark underwear.

The installation was created by Italian designer Fabio Novembre and it is meant to create "dialogue between tradition and modernity" by being a celebration of the "century-old" practice of hanging garments from clotheslines. [DesignBoom]
