Apple Finally Allows Developers To Use Redeem Codes On International Stores

title=If you’ve ever received a promo code for an app on your iPhone, you would have discovered one of Apple’s more ridiculous iOS restrictions, that redeem codes were only valid for the US iTunes Store. But no more!

Previously, the only workaround would be to create a US account and pretend you use the US store for your device. But this week Apple switched on redeem codes for international iTunes stores, including the Aussie one. That means you can happily use developer redeem promo codes to try out new apps

This is great news, especially for local developers creating apps for the Australian market hoping to promote their apps. If any Aussie developers want to play around and share the app love on Giz AU to celebrate, send me an email at editor@gizmodo.com.au
