Why Haven’t We Seen A Telstra Samsung Galaxy Tab Yet?

The Galaxy Tab hit stores last week, with both Vodafone and Optus announcing plans for the Android device. But what about Telstra? When will we see the NextG version of the Samsung tablet?

According to a Telstra spokesperson, the NextG version will be launching by the end of the month. Because NextG uses the 850MHz spectrum, there’s a different hardware configuration to support the Telstra network, which took a little bit longer to get to the country. There should be pricing announcements next week…

The two hardware versions also mean that buying the tablet outright has an extra level of complexity. If you’re buying the Galaxy Tab and hoping to use it on NextG, it might be worth holding off for a few weeks…
