Best Buy slipped up and posted a teaser for a "Pure Google" "Nexus S" handset coming to T-Mobile this Christmas season. Could that be Nexus S-as-in-Samsung, like the one we heard all about a few weeks ago?
Though our friend referred to it as the Nexus Two, here's how he described the device:
It's black and shiny, built with glossy plastic. Up close, though, it's "got this curve to it." While the screen, which our source thinks is the same 4-inch AMOLED affair from the Galaxy series, is flat, the front is "sort of concave" with hard edges. And the back is curved. The tapering makes it feel thinner than Galaxy S, though it might be about the same thickness. "It feels really similar to the Galaxy S in a lot ways." (Note: Our mockup is very approximate.)
The "Pure Google" bit on the Best Buy site fits with the presumption that the next Nexus will run plain old Android 2.3, and the holiday season seems like just about the right time frame for Samsung's Nexus to pop up. The bit vanished from the Best Buy site pretty quickly but you can still check things out in the Google cache. [Phandroid via Engadget]
