According to Gary over at Cnet, the Australian Tivo is about to get a price drop. A huge price drop even, taking the DVR from $699 to $499 and throwing in bonus free stuff.

From tomorrow, the 320GB device will not only cost less that 500 bucks, but will come with either a $50 cash back or a $100 voucher for movie rentals through the CASPA video on demand service. It will also come bundled with the $70 wireless adapter, while HybridTV are also phasing out the 160GB model.

Considering it’s the first real price drop the device has had since it launched, it’s about time the guys at Hybrid have decided to do something to try and make the Tivo even more appealing.
