The iPad's international expansion continues, and this time they're going after big game: at 10am this Friday, September 17, the Wi-Fi iPad will be available in China. They'll retail at CNY3988 for 16GB, CNY4788 for 32GB and CNY5588 for 64GB. That's about $630, $757 and $883 respectively. At those prices, and with the kind of volume potential China represents, you're looking at big business for Apple.
Then again, I thought China had the iPad months ago, didn't they? Regardless, Apple promises that "many more" countries will get the iPad "later this year". So hold tight, Moldova! Your time will come.
