This Doghouse Is Nicer Than Your House House

It's one lucky pooch who gets to live in this 2.5m tall replica of Matsumoto Castle, with one impressively handy owner. Won't you please join me on a guided tour?

The video, unfortunately for this monoglot, is in Japanese, but I can give you a few details. The house took six months and about $US600 in materials to build and offers three separate rooms: a main room, a rear room that may or may not be expressly for hiding during thunderstorms, and a room with a sand floor to help its inhabitant cool down in the summer.

By contrast, my apartment looks nothing like a castle, has two rooms (both of which are terrible for hiding from weather), and there's no sand to be found. You win, dog! Well played. [Japan Probe]
