Foxtel Launching Permanent 3D Sports Channel

Everyone who owns a 3D TV yet moans about the lack of 3D content available, you might want to get Foxtel. Starting November 1, they're launching the country's first dedicated (and permanent) 3D channel, Foxtel 3D.

Made up from a mix of sports and live events from Fox Sports and ESPN, the new 3D channel will be available for anyone subscribing to the HD versions of the sports package. NBA, College Football and XGames content will be broadcast from ESPN's international 3D channel, while Fox Sports will be providing 3D versions of events like Wimbledon.

And if 3D still isn't your cup of tea, there will be a few new HD channels launched on the same day, including Nat Geo Wild HD, BBC Knowledge HD and Speed HD.
