Some 6000 Windows Phone 7 phones are said to be out there today, being manhandled by keen developers in the lead-up to the launch. Microsoft’s helping them along with this video demo of a golf app.

The video is a lengthy (and rather dull, admittedly) look at just one of the upcoming apps for the WP7 platform and the design process behind it. Some of the integral design features behind the look and feel of WP7 are spoken of in the video, including why Microsoft prefers app icons to have square corners, rather than round.
