Sydney Cricket Ground Getting 157sqm LED Screen This Year

title=If you enjoy spending a bit of time at the SCG, you’d probably be happy to know that starting from the one-day international against Sri Lanka on November 5, there’ll be a new 157 square metre LED screen sitting on the Dally Messenger Stand. I wonder if they’ll let us plug in an Xbox?

Measuring in at 18.8 metres wide and 8.3 metres high, the new LED screen will display 23 trillion colours and have a 7000 cd/m2 brightness level, making it viewable in direct sunlight. Made by Panasonic, the screen will show live vision, score updates and venue information during matches.

But seriously, we just really want to play Xbox on it.
